Accessibility
We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not had an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance.
What we built in
- Works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link.
- Real headings, labels and landmarks for screen readers; the questionnaire moves focus to each new question.
- Reading settings for text size, spacing, font, colors and motion. Browser zoom to 400% and custom text spacing are supported.
- No timers, no time limits and no information shown by color alone.
- A read-aloud button on each question, using your browser's built-in voice. Nothing is recorded.
- The report is an HTML page first. PDF is whatever your browser produces when you print, and we have not verified its accessibility.
What we tested
On 28 October 2026 we ran automated checks (axe-core, WCAG 2.0 to 2.2 A and AA rules) on 13 content pages in light and dark mode, on the questionnaire steps, results, report, discussion sheet and both dialogs, and on results in every color theme at the largest text size with wider spacing. All passed. We also checked: no horizontal scrolling at 320 pixels wide (the same layout as 400% zoom on a typical laptop), with and without a WCAG text-spacing override; a keyboard-only start of the questionnaire (skip link, visible focus, arrow keys and Enter); and reduced motion. Contrast was calculated from our color values: the lowest text pair is 5.5:1. Automated checks cannot find every problem, and a full screen-reader review with assistive-technology users has not been done yet.
Known limits
- The help panel and settings use the browser's dialog element; very old browsers may not support it.
- Printed PDFs may not keep every heading and reading-order tag.
