What this site can and cannot tell you
What it is
WordRhino is an educational website for adults. It has three parts: a library of sourced articles about reading, dyslexia, tools and professional assessment; an optional questionnaire about everyday reading and writing; and a summary that repeats your answers back to you as plain sentences, with a few practical ideas to try.
What the questionnaire can do
- Help you notice and describe the everyday situations where reading or writing takes more or less effort for you.
- Put your answers into words you can reuse, for example when talking to a manager, a tutor or a professional.
- Point you to optional strategies and tools that match the situations you described.
What it cannot do
- It cannot screen for, diagnose or rule out dyslexia, or any other condition. It was not designed or tested to do that, and no answer pattern means you have or do not have dyslexia.
- It does not give a score, a likelihood, a risk level, a severity, a type, a reading age or a comparison with other people.
- It cannot explain why reading feels the way it does for you. Reading is affected by many things, including teaching, language background, vision, hearing, sleep, stress and health.
- Reporting few difficulties cannot rule anything out. Reporting many does not establish anything.
- It is not a treatment plan, and none of the strategies are promised to work for you.
- Its summaries and reports, including the Full Reading Report, are not professional or official documents. They cannot be used as evidence for accommodations, benefits, employment decisions or educational eligibility.
When to talk to a doctor
If reading, writing or speech has changed recently or suddenly, or you have a health concern such as headaches, eye strain or changes in vision, talk to a doctor or an eye care professional. This site cannot help with medical questions.
Who wrote this
The site and its articles were written with AI drafting assistance and checked against the linked sources. No clinician, psychologist or dyslexia specialist has reviewed them yet. We say so here because a site like this should not imply expert review that has not happened. See sources and claims for the review status of every factual claim.
